I really like the colors of the sky and the details of the structure at the left. My eye is led through the shot easily, and I think the landscape works well. A good photo, though I'm not sure how I feel about the border - kind of like it, kind of don't.

I like the colors and the compostion. I love how you caputred the Day turning into Night, that is something that is hard to do, and you did it well in this shot. I also like the structure on the left hand side.

Well done.

What was your shutter speed?

Carl nice shot as always. Gradient in the sky is amazing. Composition is fine and Im pretty sure the horizon is level...LOL! I think a bit of touching up to bring out the few stars that are visible would be a nice addition. Would love to know the EXIF data.

carl yeomans,

Remarkable is becoming what I expect when seeing your sitename, and you delivered again. Color, subject, framing and execution are wonderful to see.

Since perception is everything, I see the right side "appear" to be slightly higher because of the shape of the structure on left, and the downward slope of the hill on right, as well as reflection in center of photo. But I can get past that.

beautiful! Love the daylight and stars fighting for their space. Really beautiful shot. I find night photography VERY difficult and so REALLY am awed by the ones that people share.

ive got to add, the picture was taken at 10:20pm four nights ago, it was pitch black from where i took the shot. the glow you see on the left is the sodium lighting from middlesbrough town 10 miles away. i could not see this with my naked eye. iam sorry if i miss led anyone for thinking it was a sunset followed by night shot.
