Default To crop or not?

I took this with the sun shining through from the other side. Again, it was indoors so the roof could be an issue.

Here it is cropped to just the leaf edges. Crop it more? Less? Not at all?

I think it looks real nice it's really sharp how did you shoot this? One suggestion is to clone out the leave tips at the left of the frame there are a few tips still present in the image.

I like the cropped version better. More subject filling the frame, and less to distract from it.

I like the crop, and agree with cloning out the leaf tips to the left of the image. Good color and clarity here too! Very nice. Only thing I wish was that you had captured the leaf in its entirety, as your original photo crops off some of the leaf tips top and bottom...

I have to side with Murtasma....I like the original, especially if you removed the distractions from the left, and lower left, wee bit of leaves at lower right, and left just the one branch against the abstract background. I like the background. Sort of "Technology Meets Nature. Good image.

May I have permission to work it a bit?

My favorite part of both of these is the darker areas where the leaves overlap. I'm still trying to decide which I like better, although I do have to agree with everyone's thoughts about those other leaves that got into the shots.

different strokes for different folks...

i personally find too much going on in the original picture...the cropped one is better though lines still distracting in the background.

I would definately go with the uncropped version. I do not think the background is an issue if you present the image with a structure theme. The concept of the structure of the leaf showing in the foreground against the structure of the building in the background, very neat.
