I was playing around with my camera while my friends were over with their 4 month old daughter. i tried to catch picture of her without her hand in front of her face but right before i snapped, she put her hand up to suck her thumb. it looks like she is waving her fist at me. I thought it came out good. what does everyone else think? Constructive criticism is welcome.

Hi. Shots of kids are hard to critique because they can be so cute. In this case, her little fist is covering too much of her face. Also there is a bit too much "black" area with no detail that does not add value to the shot. I realize it was a "grab" shot but I'd suggest working around the "thumb' from a different vantage point and use available light if possible instead of the onboard flash.
