Default Full Moon

finally got a good moon shot, now I'm hot to get a tele-converter. Any thoughts?
Full Moon
Camera: Nikon D70
Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture: f/10
Focal Length: 500 mm
Exposure Bias: -2/3 EV
ISO Speed: 400

nice shot! that sigma did you good for being al the way at 500mm.

Nice work on the moon shot. How much did you crop the original image, if any? Can you post the original if this is a cropped portion, to show the comparison? What white balance did you use? Thanks for sharing htis with us.

If you're specifically after a tele-converter for moon shots - I'd recommend getting a small telescope instead and the adapters to connect your camera to it. I picked up a small Meade telescope a few years ago in a clearance sale from Woodland Hills, and when it comes to moon shots it has been soooo much better than camera lenses.

Doc,
The original was 3008x2000 and this one is 1668x1224. I crowded the moon in the corner gave an unsharp mask and sent it to the printer. The white balance was set to auto. This was the best of about 30 shots. Your welcome.
