How long was the exposure? I love the mist effect of the water.

if you had used a neutral density filter (not graduated), this is the type of effect you would be able to achieve even midday (depending on the strength of the filter - whether 2, 4, or 8...

it was handheld so I only had it set at 1/2 second. Any more than that even resting it against the fence I was by there was some camera shake.

You captured the water quite good, but i would like to see where the reflections in water came from. I would like to see it in a wider perspective.
nice colors though, and i think it would like quite nice as a foreground for a picture of the whole river.

the reason you dont see any of the background or surrounding area is due to a parking lot by the river about 30 yards away from the edge.....

Oh well, nothing to do about that.

I hate people making parking lots all over the place.

its in the metropark system here and its not a huge parking lot but there were a good number of cars there due to the unseasonably warm weather we were having that day

I like this shot. I think I would remove some of the dead leaves gathered here and there at the top of the fall.
