Default White Water

I took this shot one afternoon.
I was thinking there should be a crop to get rid of the right side a bit.
Some people were telling me that shooting it from a lower angle would be better for the shot.
I was wondering if anyone had any advice to give on it?

I agree that shooting it from a lower angle would help the shot. I'd also think about shooting it landscape to eliminate some of the empty space in the lower half of the picture. Using a simple "rule of thirds" composition would improve the shot a good bit. I also feel like the streams of water are a bit cut off on the upper left corner.

That being said, I like the subject and level of contrast. Unfortunately, I don't do much post processing, so my only recommendation is to go back and try again. I'm sure you'll find plenty of pp folks here with good suggestions to improve the image you've already captured .

Default Thank You

Thank you for the advice. I am not to familiar with the rule of thirds. But I will try and maybe shoot this shot again and see if grabs the concept.

Hil85,

Here's a link to the Rule of Thirds on the Blog (scroll down a little):

I like the BW treatment, but something about the crop just doesn't seem right. It almost needs more around the water to balance out the foreground.
