I think the lighting is spectacular...the tonal range is pleasing and balanced.
and obviously, the expression on your dog is very believable to your title.
was almost waiting to see him or her turn the page. Nice Job

Very soothing lighting and a lively composition. I wish the 2 white knobs werent there.

They almost look like eyes watching the dog watching the newspaper!

I think it is a shame the dog's nose is obscured by where the paper lifts above the table. Could you have put the dog on a cushion to get it a bit higher?

We normally read a paper on the table looking down rather than across, and that would also have obscured the knobs on the cupboard in the background.
