Default Just some leaves

I was bored today so I took my camera into my yard and snapped away. This is one of the better pictures I think. There are more on my Flickr if you click the image.

More leaves

Excellent image. The red hues are gorgeous. The DOF is brilliant - no problems there. The only thing that troubles me about this image is the leaves that are in focus are facing down and it lacks the color that the red leaf behind them, for example, has. Maybe you chose those leaves in particular, but if I was aiming for a shot like this I'd probably chose a little more color.

That's just my $0.02. Hm, I also really like the perspective. Good work

I don't know about bumping up the colour - with a shot like this, it is easy for the reds to get blown out, ruining the detail. If I was going to boost the colour, my first attempt would probably be to see if a bit more yellow would work to warm things up.

Overall its a good shot. I agree with Wulf regarding a bit more yellow.

Since the leaves have fallen, you could have tried to arrange the shot by focussing more on the main leaf - just a thought

Thanks for the comments. I did take another picture of some fallen leaves that were turned over to the "color side" but for some reason I liked this one better. For comparison the other image can be seen HERE. I wouldn't really want to boost the color on either image, just because the reds are already bright enough.
