Default Flower Petals

FlowerPetalsAgainstBlack

The original photo was out of focus and really grainy so I decided to mess with levels. Ended up with this. I'm happy with it though there are small problems with it. Interested in hearing others impressions of the photo rather than technical problems such as focus.

I like it a lot, but I think I wood have cropped it more square. The dead space on the left doesn't really do anything for it.

I love the way this image turned out. Did you shoot with a black background, or is that an effect you achieved in post processing? If so, would you mind sharing how? Thanks.

I like it alot. I do agree with the others, the empty space on the left does nothing for the shot.

Actually, I love the crop.....I think it gives the image something extra.

Good photo.

Focal Frenzy,
I messed with levels under color options. I think that I darkened shadows and midtones, while brightening the highlights. I then cloned out most of the visible colors around the flower so everything surrounding the flower was black. Hope that helps you.
