Does this one hold interest? And, overall thoughts?

Thanks.

My favorite type of flower.... curious as to why you decided to chop off the petals? Also the second bloom in the background is distracting to me.

Nice flower, very vivid coloring. I think the framing is fine, but what aperture did you use? For macro like this I would suggest your largest aperture (smallest Av number) and use your max zoom. This would get more of a blur for your background to make it less distracting and draw the focus to the sharpest part of the image.

Default Stargazer Lilly - (Fixed)

Hello -

How does this one look now? I removed the background clutter.

Also, I took a closeup shot (...curious as to why you decided to chop off the petals?) so that I could try something different by getting a very close view of the flower.

I just downloaded Paint Shop Pro X2. A very good program.

Thank you.

My only complaint is the fore shadow. Might be a good one to reshoot if you have the flower available.
