Default Hidden Sun in the Clouds

Hi folks,

This is my very first post as I am very new to this website. I just started learning photography even though I've been shooting pictures for a few years. I was never happy with my results because I never learned how to take pictures.

I sure would love some tips so that I can become better at taking pictures. By the way, the camera that I have is a Sony DSC-F717 with a circular polarizer lens. I have the polarizer attached to my camera all the time, which I'm not sure is a good idea or not.

The photo is a little dark but the sky looks good.
If sometimes your photos appear dark try taking off your polarizer as it decreases the amount of light going into the lens.
