Arrow I'm New

Yeah, I'm brand new to this site, as of yesterday, and I'd maybe like some comments on the photos I've taken so far, because I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to technique, I have an idea of how to do basics, so some improvement tips would go down a treat

My School

Some Flowers

I Have a myspace where a friend and I take photos, haven't yet set up a flickr site, but hope to. My bebo address should be here somewhere, check it out, most of my pictures are on there

Welcome to the forums Dan.

I'm going to move this over to the Critique section since it's not really talking about what you did in order to take the photos and get them the way you wanted them and it's more asking for critique. For future critique posts, please keep the number of pictures you're looking for critique on to a single picture per thread (you can read the forum rules here).

Default Looks good

Work on straightening out linear pics like the second one of the school. You can fix it with editing if you leave yourself some cropping room. The flowers seem a little out of focus. Are you using the macro mode on your camera? Otherwise composition looks nice.

I really like the first one. It has a modern, clean lines. I agree with frankenpengie about straightening out the 2nd and it will have that same sleek and clean look to it. The colors of the flowers in the third look a little too saturated to me. I'm really not sure how to fix that. In photoshop, you might be able to fix it by playing with the saturation in the Hue/Saturation box (control U in PS7).
