Default Other Little Miss Blue Eyes

This is my older daughter (8yo). I like this one but not sure if the leaf in the foreground (above her ear) adds depth to the picture or if it's a distraction.

I think its a bt distracting and if it were off to the side might not pose such a problem. I like photos where the subject is between the fore and background. Really nice photo though I like the composition as far as the tree trunk and the leaves framing the girl.

Tonetta, I find it distracting as the leaf is almost merging with the head. It's in that zone where it's nither in focus nor too out of focus.

Aakash

Nice photo, i like the composition a lot. A little bit of sharpening perhaps, to enhance her ayes and face.

Did you shoot any in the portrait or vertical format? Beautiful eyes! Nice work in the shade of the tree! Please tell us about your lighting.

I took this in the mid afternoon (around 4pm) without a flash...just natural light. I agree with you (all) that the leaf is a distraction in the original photo - it was a fairly windy afternoon so it didn't cooperate. I don't know how to fix it post. I took about 30 pictures total of her in the tree - here are two other favorites. Thanks for your feedback!

Hey those last two are great. Seems like there's a yellowish cast to the last one, maybe do a slight amount of color balancing on it but other than that, great job. I think the composition is fine.

Hope you don't mind, but I couldn't resist loading this up an tinkering.

What I did - simple color balance layer where I turned down the yellow a bit (actually a lot - all the way to +31 blue), and a channel mixer layer where (this is difficult to explain) I turned up each channels color and turned down the others by the same amount. For example, in the red channel I took red up to 120 and blue and green to -10 each. Heh heh, anyway here's my result.

I don't mind at all that you tinkered! The corrected one looks much better. I'll have to start learning more about post fixes. Thanks!
