I don't remember where I found it anymore, but some time ago I found an Infrared action for PS. I shot this rose in my backyard after a rain (the last we had before last night was weeks ago) and ran the IR action as a starting point. I then tweaked from there - I don't remember all I actually did at this point. I really like the "black" rose and water droplets. Anyone else?

But then again, I do have a thing for water drops!!!
Interestingly there are companies devoted to converting your digicam to infrared!!! There are also (scarily) DIY guides for doing so. I've not been game enough yet - Waaaaaaay too scary!!! Here is one of the commercial companies (I am NOT selling it, it was the first that I googled!)

Yeah, don't think I'll be doing THAT anytime soon! Maybe once I've upgraded camera's a couple of times and happen to have an extra lying around
. Even then, I'd probably be too chicken to try it myself.

ISO 2000? My XTi maxes out at 1600. I would like to try an IR filter, but right now I only have a graduated ND and a polarizer and the IR filters are fairly pricey. I love the look of the white leaves that you captured (in the B&W version) and I've found this PS action duplicates that fairly well. My only concern with the filter is the longer exposure time necessary so movement becomes a real problem.

I went digging and if anyone's interested, the action is here. The same people have a couple other free actions that are pretty cool as well.

The sensitivity of your camera may be different. I would think the 1600 ISO would work as well. Sisnce exposure times are long, you will need a tripod. The "modified" cameras you read about are more sensitive and I believe hand-held shooting is possible. Check eBay for an R72 IR filter in the appropriate filter size for your camera.
I have even done some tests with the Sony F707 where I used a filter cut from a 5 1/4 inch floppy disc. The results were not stellar but it was an interesting experiment. Here is a shot through the non-standard IR filter:

@bahgheera and pinball - Thanks!
@Lee - I like the shot with the experimental filter. Did you have to process that shot at all, or is that how it came out of the camera? That sounds like a cost effective filter that I'd be willing to play around with. I'm definitely not modding my camera any time soon, so I'll take any experimenting opportunity I can come up with.
