Default Athena

Was my first time shooting with Athena. She did a terrific job for a first timer.

Lately I been relying on my strobes so much I forgot what photos with natural light look like.

Ok two things bother me about this shot first is the position of her arm in the background. I think it is the black suit really.. Her rear arm just kinda blends in with the chest making her look fat at first glance (obviously she is not fat) Perhaps if she were to place that hand on her knee it would create some separation between her arm and her torso.

The second thing that bothers me about this is that it is not a tight in crop (as your would expect from a head shot) nor is it really a loose crop giving the model some more room (Cropped off top of her hair and bottom of her skirt) I like the look of her pose on this but would like there to be just a bit more room perhaps like 1 step backwards so that you get the top of her hair and bottom of her skirt in the frame.

Picture is well exposed but (it might just be me) her skin tones look different. Her face and legs and chest look to be different color (might just be me it is early...)

Anyways overall a nice portrait but then again most of the work you post up is good so I would not expect anything less.

well I didnt notice the back arm but the more I look the more its standing out to me. I assume the color variants in the different areas are due to her make-up on her face....
I think its a nice shot and thnk the crop is a bit too tight but i gotta say Trela you do get alot of good looking models......
Now lets see another series with "skater girl" LOL!
