Default Quack quack

Something I took at the weekend which I was quite pleased with. I was using my new 50mm f1.8 lens. Lovely jubbley.

Lovely jubbley??? Nice shot overall just two things I see wrong with it off the bat. There is a lack of detail in the eye area of the duck on the left. Also the duck in the background right where the beak of the duck in the foreground. Would have been interesting to see what the picture looked like if you took a step or two to the right and got a bit closer so that the two ducks in the foreground fell more in the third lines.

Ah yes, fair comments! I might have to go back to the park and try and capture them again with your suggestions in mind.

Welly,

Your enjoyment need not be less, if this is the closest, most detailed shot you've ever gotten of fowl. I know how that first few feel. As you see and take many more photos, the differences will become more apparent and you'll enjoy your work even more. You can take some with the background in mind next time (either duckless or more blurred), and wait for the Sun and the ducks to line up so the eyes stand out. Enjoy the journey.
