I like B&Ws, but do you have the color version of this? I think sunrises/sets almost always look better in color. But, if you just wanted to say it was a day at camp then it would work.

your horizon is placed correctly...and i am sure that it was an amazing scene to begin with ....but, within your frame there is little to settle the eye upon....

This is a tough one as the sun and that strip of water is badly blown out. Also, having the horizon placed dead center with that little island almost dead center...the photo doesn't say much.

PLNolan,

What did you hope we would see in your photo? As you closed the shutter, what did you feel was in frame that you wanted to preserve? Since I don't rely on emoticons, I'll assure you I am asking seriously, based on the possibility that we just aren't seeing what you did, in the way you saw it.

I'm guessing this is color, and the day was really dully lit?
