Default Testing to see if embedding works and to see how you like this picture.

Here is a picture that I took back in August in Las Vegas. I wanted to see what everyone thought about it. I'm also trying to see if I finally figured out how to embed a picture from flickr.

Statue at Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace

Thanks!
Kim

For the Flickr question, you did well.

For the shoot itself, i think a bit more light filling and contrast will be nice. Also, try to do something about the noise in your composition.

You could have also waited 3 secs or so to let the people in the background to free the stairs. Apropos stairs, changing your angle by lifting the zoom half a centimeter will have somehow equalized the bottom of the stairs way at lower left of the frame (of your picture) with the top of the stairs way upper right of the frame.

What are these some disturbances (light reflections, ghosting?) in your composition; One big one at first left decoration frame at the left of the lion and two or three at deco just on the top where the couple is.

I envy you people of Las Vegas.

I like the cropping and contrast boost added by Mike. The angular stairs make for an interesting background. Is it possible to provide a base for the statue as opposed to cutting it where you did? It needs an 'anchor.'
