Question You looking at me ???

You looking at me!

Was taking pictures of the cliffs in Cornwall when this seagull landed next to me and gave me the eye as if to say, to me this is my space what are you doing here !!

Took the picture quickly and the horizon was not straight so I rotated and cropped the image to straighten.

Think the colours are ok but still think it needs more work

Suggestions please?

I would isolate the seagull more, and one way I found was to set the background to the sky instead of to the sea, as if you had climbed down and got a better angle. That's probably considered blatant cheating of course, but still, I like it.

patience is often the hardest lesson....

i work long hours through the week so i tend to save my critiques for the weekend.....i know when you post for comment you're really putting yourself out there and the wait can be excruciating.....

so anyway......

subject and composition are wonderful.....and except for the deep shadows, the colors are very well represented....if you have the editing software, i would consider trying to "lift" the shadows for more detail.....

it's a good solid image.....thanks for sharing....
