Don't worry - you are not the first to get a gentle reminder like this and doubtless won't be the last. I hope the extra activity due to our conversation will bring a few more people to comment on your picture.

I agree with Wulf that too much is going on in the photo. The subject of your photo seems to be the volcano, which by itself would probably make a great photo. However my eye moves to the dark plants surrounding the volcano. The roof just seems completely out of place to me. Maybe a closer zoom on the volcano would be much more interesting, with using less of the plants to frame the volcano. I love the clouds surrounding the volcano though.

What was the surroundling land like where you where? Did you have room to move around could you have gotten closer? Could you have moved past the tree and bush that fill the edges of the frame? I think the clouds and subject look great but the trees surrounding the border are much to distracting to the subject if this place is close by I would try composing the shot diffrently by taking it from another location or using a longer lens if you have one.

I like the idea of trying to go for a border, I think it would have made it more interesting. The huge bush on the right and the roof at the bottom are just distracting though. If you crop it closer to the mountain and increase the saturation on the mountain, I think it will help bring the focus there more. You just need to remove a little bit of the border, but nice idea! It's a great picture regardless.
