Default I think she was in shock!

He didn't move for ages...giving me plenty of time to get a series of shots. This is one of the better ones.

This is a beautiful butterfly! You were lucky he stopped and posed for you. I think I would like to see a little more butterfly and a little less grass. It's lovely colors are sort of cropped off. I can see you wanted to get his legs in the shot, but for me it's his wings that have the interest.

I must agree with Saralonde about less grass more insect. Also even you used flash there are some parts (the wing) of the butterfly that seems to be a little dark. But I guess will be near impossible to get another shot. Thanks for sharing it. Maybe you can try with photoshop shadows/highlights to rescue some light on the wing.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

No flash was used, but lighting was terrible.

IC.... in your EXIF data on flickr said you used flash at 80. Maybe it was wrong. Then next time you can try using the flash.
