search around on the internet if you can, because this is a perfect canidate for color extraction. not sure if thats what the true name for it is, but either way the idea would be to (in photoshop or something similar) create a b&w layer over the color one you have and let the blue in her eyes show through. so the final product is a b&w photo with a splash of color right at the focal point.
if you want visit my website http://www.createitphotography.smugm...8358#203903804
i have a picture that should illustrate what im saying a little better ha ha.

Hi and welcome to the group. Cute shot using the onboard flash but a little 'flat' as to contrast and color. Did you do any post processing here? Please tell us a little more about how you took the shot (camera/lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO) and what you feel you need help with. Thanks for sharing your shot with us.

A little off the topic but since it's been mentioned...that technique is something I've been wanting to play with but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it. I have Photo Impact and Paint Shop Pro to play in. I only know 1 person on this side of the computer who could give me advice and he gave me a process that when I attempted it took me over an hour and even then it looked off. If you've ever seen the movie Copycat where the shrink sloppily cuts out her head and pastes it on another body, that's what my hour long attempt turned out like I'm sure there's got to be something simpler than that! If not simpler, then something more exact.

Just a little warmth and some smoothing.

I'm sure about those who were asking about the technique, but in my original post thats what i was talking about. very good link. i do it a different way (but im pretty sure there are at least 600 ways to do the same thing in photoshop lol). Either way, like the thread says, its really makes the image pop and blows away the customer.

*sigh* yet another reason I just need to get photoshop. It's the universal photography language.
