Default Swingin'

An accident that I like. Something about the motion and color. CC please.

The blur works well, giving a sense of motion. This kind of shot is fun, although can be hard to replicate on purpose; you have to keep shooting and be willing to throw lots of shots away.

Areas that I think might be improved:

1. There is not much space under the subject's foot. That would be fixable with cloning but perhaps the next suggestion would also help...

2. The subject and background are at a slight angle. I think it would look even more dramatic if you rotated the top of the image towards the left so that the rope wasn't "attached" to the central point. You would then have to do some cropping and cloning to fill in the background.

3. The colours seem a bit cold to me. I would be tempted to play around to make them richer and warmer.

Wulf,
I worked with the color a bit and then started messing around in PSE and came up with this. I did rotate the image and didn't like the angle of the blur of the trees. Thanks for the input.

I think the colours are definitely better for working on it; the image now looks like a painting. I particularly like the blues - they look like white clothes under an ultraviolet lamp.

Wow. This is truly a neat effect. I'd love to recreate this effect. I agreee with wulf's suggestion about rotating the pic. I think that the subject seems a little too static in the position he's in. Having him at an angle will further emphasize the fact that he is swingin'. Just my 2 cents.
