Default fire in the tree

DSC_0004_edited-1

I kind of just tool a snap shot of this while I was out for a walk. I didn't expect the effect that showed up. I am thinking of going back with a tripod and trying to do this photo justice. The fire type effect is caused by halogen lighting. Any advice I could get before I go back would be appreciated. I am definaltly going to get rid of the guard rail.

I'd for sure bring your tripod. Shown in original size the noise is most too bad. I checked your exif, and was wondering why you had your ISO at 3200, and your exposure set to -2/3.

I'd drop the ISO down to a max of 1600, and try to get lower, and just play around with your shutter, and aperture till you get the shot you want. I'd try cropping or getting the shot without the guardrail, or fence in it.

Looks like it wood be a fun shot......enjoy.

if you're bringing your tripod, you're gonna have all the time in the world....so take advantage of it.....maybe get under the tree more, use a small aperture for a larger depth of field, and shoot up the trunk into the branches.......take your iso to as low as it will go to keep things crisp.....and bracket, bracket, bracket.......

this is going to look wonderful under a back sky....

good luck!

Intertesting lighting effect. I look forward to your future shots of this subject. If possible, trees typically 'look' better when they have a base. Cutting them off half way up is sometimes unavoidable but doesn't provide as strong an image.

I like it Those tungsten lights with the right color leaves make trees look like they are burning. I took a shot very simliar to this.

However a tripod is a must for a shot like this. Also lower your iso to 100 when you get the tripod.

Here is how my pictue turned out.
