Great shot! It makes a nice wallpaper. I'd suggest a color balance layer with emphasis on the yellows in mid and highlight range. Compositionally, the truck in the foreground is distracting, but its not that big of a deal. Other than that, its perfect. Way to go.

nice image......the colors to me are at just the right level of intensity....the flames i would have rather seen not so blown out.....and the low shutter speed cut out the detail in them.....but, reallly, a terrific shot you have.....

Thanks for the critiques. It was my first ballunar festival, and shooting in low light has not been that easy for me. I waited for close to twenty minutes for them to light the balloon, and then that truck pulled in front of me. Oh well. What are you going to do when you are on the other side of the yellow rope. I tried increasing the shutter speed, but was met with blackness. The balloon flame in the background helped out with the lighting. There are more pics on my flickr site, but this was one of my favorites. Thanks again everybody.

Aren't balloons fun to shoot. You just never know how it will turn out. You did good! Interest, patterns, color and you filled the frame, too. Thanks for sharing.
