i will be going to Panama in December....I hope to capture photos of these
beautiful creatures. Very nice job!

what a handsome pair....and in such a sweet embrace as well.....good capture of a terrific subject.....my only objection is that the exposure is off leaving the highlights blown....

Do you think it was over exposed or under exposed ? What highlights were blown ? Im just curious.

Nice color and sharpness. Too bad the depth of field couldn't have carried to the end of their perch as the out-of-focus tree limb draws your eye away from the birds. Can you share some of the tech details such as camera/lens, ISO, aperture and shutter speed.

it looks like it was a fairly bright day.....i was looking at the end of the perch and the upper left of the frame....don't get me wrong, the birds are perfect as is....

Love the shot...looks like a harlequin preening a Blue and Gold to me but the green head of the one getting the cleaning is throwing me off....as for the shot its great!
How much did you crop off...was ther eanythng right of the branch that could have been left in? seems a bit too tight a crop to me.....
