Cats!

I took this while visiting my parents in the UK in May 2005. While I'm perfectly happy with it, several people I know - including three professional news photographers I work with - have gone nuts over it. I'm just wondering what's so special about the image. Can anyone help?

The angle, composition, color and texture of buildings, clarity, and the fact that two cats sat still while you shot, make this an example of a "When Things Go Right" photo. And it's ripe for captions.

IMHO: This image evokes feeling! The scruffy cat near the dilapidated wooden fence. The 'groomed' cat neat the newer metal fence. (composition) The blue sky, greenish hue in the fence and wall, the tree. There's life expressed in this picture. Hangin' On, Hangin' In, Hangin' Out. Yes, I can see why you got the compliments, but to be totally honest, I may have skimmed over this, if you hadn't asked. So, I even learned to 'see' by your asking...Thank You for the treat. Fran.
