Default Farmland/fence

I'm terrible at titles so excuse me!

I've been out to take some more photos and experiment with some recent learning I've been doing. Here's one I took earlier. I took a couple similar to this and tried focusing on the field as opposed to the fence and I thought this version looked better. There's a little bit too much of a shadow on the left side of the pole but I suppose I was trying to concentrate on composition more than anything and didn't notice the shadow when I was taking the photo. Any comments would be welcome!

Cheers,

Welly

Hi Welly,

The Picture is very nice...pole texture and sharpness in leaves in front is very good, and the depth of field you have acheived is also very good.

Personally i don't know which place was this, but i do feel something is lacking in terms of composition. Maybe its the very bottom of pic where a bit more greener area would have made it nice, or you could have tried to shift the pole in left of pic and tried to capture the overcast clouds which seem to be there in top right corner of pic.

All in all a gud pic ... since i am myself a learner when it comes to photography thats all the inputs i can give.

Cheers,

Suhail

I enjoy the powder blue of the sky contrasted with the pole and dark clouds. Great detail in the pole too. Like suhail_dps said though, there is something missing and being new as well, I can't quite put my finger on it. It might be how the top fence wire competes with the horizon line.

I like it....I think comp is nice and the foreground really gives a feel to the shot as the DOF is just shallow enough to blur but let you see whats beyond the fence. Nice shot and would make a nice wall piece. I would maybe throw a bit more color in it but other than that great shot.

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciated and all taken upon board! I've only just come out of auto mode so having fun experimenting and learning how to take photographs as opposed to just taking snaps. It's great!

Cheers,

Welly
