I think like on the first pic the second one should be showing the child from the neck up and cropped closer on either side. I'd love to see these in black and white. But other than that i am not so hip on the technical stuff like a lot of the others who are much better at that than I am.
Very cute idea

Thank you windrider86 for your comments. I actually have the second pic cropped already. I was playing around trying to see if I could get some pics posted and at the time I could not put my hands on the other one. I will look for it tomorrow and post. Thanks again for you reply.

my personal opinion:

the first pic is good...except for the shadow in the background cast by the hat...

the second would look better if the flowers covered less of the face and more of the torso...

The lighting in the second one is a bit harsh...takes away from the picture. If you could rig up some sort of diffuser, I think both pictures would be better for it.

Maybe try something other than a straight on shot? Something from a different angle / perspective...something when the child isn't expecting it...a bit more candid? I don't know...both seem a bit contrived. I hope that isn't too negative a word int his case.

The first photo, the child seems reluctant. The second one...I don't know...maybe the flower need to be lowered?

i like the expression and pose of the first portrait....i agree that the flash shadowing is a bit distracting.....but, all in all a fun image....ther second shot is better on your end but the model should have held the flowers a tad lower.....

thanks
