I enjoy watching the butterflies in my garden but it won't be long before they disappear for the winter. I decided to take some shots so I could enjoy them that way. Let me know what you think.

Its hard to tell as the thumbanail is so small. But your dof looks good and the colors look good.

I will try to find out why it keeps putting my picture in as a thumbnail. In the meantime I believe if you will click on the picture itself it will open in a larger size. Sorry for the problem.

The easiest way to post a larger picture in your post (instead of a thumbnail) is to use a site like Flickr, Zooomr, or PicasaWeb and then follow the instructions in this thread to post your picture.
But the thumbnail works too

I'm not overly familiar with Shutterfly and whether or not it will let you embed HTML, sorry

If you click on the thumbnail, you can see the image at 522x640px - attachments work fine although posting a medium size picture hosted on Flickr or equivalent (that would be 500px on the longest side - please keep below 600px on the longest side) give a bit more immediacy in the presentation.
Talking of immediacy, I would say this shot is a bit on the underexposed side. What kind of camera (and lens) have you got and what were the settings? You could make this brighter and a bit more eye-catching with post processing but there are probably options that would do that in camera as well for future reference. Being over bright is not a virtue but a dull shot will normally look less striking than one that is subtlely more vivid. Wulf |
