Interesting shot. The only thing I would comment on is that the blur doesn't appear to only show horizontal motion, it also seems to show some vertical motion (like you hit a pothole) and that distorts the picture just a tad. I like the concept though.

I like this effect, pothole and all. It doesn't necessarily imply fast motion the way straight horizontal lines would, but the colors and blur give it a soft, almost impressionistic feel that I like. The orange thing in the bottom right corner (part of the window?) is distracting and could be cloned out.

A bit of vertical motion is hard to avoid, even if you brace the camera as well as you can - you would need exeptional shock absorption to completely level it out. I like the effect of this although there are some elements I am less keen on (the sky, the lens flare and the touch of car body).
Did you take any other shots as well? Wulf |

This is a very cool shot. I like the way the sweeping organic motion has a turbulence towards the left. Almost like looking at an incense smoke start off all smooth until the laminar flow breaks up.
I also see that the subjects at a distance have less motion blur (which makes sense) making them a good subject. Now I want to get an ND filter to try this type of thing myself!

![]() I took a few from the car, I like how the vertical motion of the car (dirt road) made a consistant wavey line to what would have been just a horizontal blur.

They are all very liquid - if anything, I like the second one more than the first.
