Default Baobabs of Madagascar

This is a shot I took 2 summers ago, on l'Allée des Baobabs, in Madagascar. This shot was taken with a simple Sony Cybershot point-and-shoot. Night function. I haven't used Photoshop, as I just purchased it. Is this too dark. Do I need to lighten it up?

The sky should def be brighter I think but the forground is nice I would mask that off to maintain the darkness in trees a little curve adjustment on the highlights of the image and you got it!

Really nice compostion btw.

Well, you're talking Chinese to me... Don't understand most of what you were saying. Gave photoshop a try, though, just playing with the colors. Is this better?

Baobabs, take 2

Lovely scene! The colour gradient in the sky in the edited version is fantastic!
If anything, I would try reducing the noise for nice smooth finish.

wonderful may have over done the brightness a tad but I think it's better Like others mentioned a blend between the two would be spot on.

What a wonderful picture and composition. I actually prefer the original and the darkish feel of it, it's more "mystic" or has more mood in a way (I have a norwegian word on my tongue, but I don't know the english word for it...). It could maybe have been lightened up a tiny little bit to get some more contrast between the upper parts of the trees and sky, but just a little. Too much and the picture gets a different mood.
