Sorry, but I'm just not feeling it... For starters, the sunset doesn't add anything (colors) to the shot other than to was out the sky. And the lamp posts in the background distract quite a bit. The boat could be interesting if it was lit a little better.

If I were taking this shot, I'd have started out by trying to get lower to the ground so I could hopefully remove as much background as possible.

Then I'd have waited for sunrise so I could have had the boat bathed in a nice soft light or I'd have tried to gotten the other side of the boat. You'd also be less inclined to blow out the sky.

next time take the picture with the sun behind you the sun distracts a lot from the image along with the white sky. If getting on the other side of the boat was not possible or if you did some other elements in the background would have been even more distracting then try to go up close for details instead of you are unable to do that don't press the shutter. Sometimes knowing when not to take a picture is the best picture of all.
