I know the flat white BG is a little blah but trying to work on good color and skin tones. What you think?

Nice shot. Good color and tonal range. Tell us a little more about how you took this photo as well as any post processing work you did. The pose is nice but, IMHO, you are starting to show a little too much white of the eyes because of how far he must look back into the camera.

like clockdoc mentioned the colours and the tone range are awesome... nice shot..

TY TY I did a little sharpen and curve adjustment. All of these were done in PS after I converted to LAB colors then saved to RGB when done.



Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/9
Focal Length: 75 mm

did you use your oncam flash or did you setup a strobe? Moving your subject further from the background will make the shadow not so harsh.
