And I don't know why, I think it just leads the eye through the photo in a fun way.

The flare at the top almost makes it look like a lit wick burning down to the bulb. Very cool shot!

It has strong leading lines, enhanced by the narrow depth of field, and a simple but effective colour scheme with some areas of high contrast.

What I have against it is that the subject is rather narrow leaving a lot of dead space to the left of the photo. That is not to say that dead space is always a bad thing but, for this subject, I wonder if it would have looked better to take a step to the left and compose it so the arch of the light spanned more of the frame?
