Default Lanterns

Hi all, first post here. Being a compact user, i must admit that i felt humble and dwarfed by all of you SLR giants I'm saving up for my first dslr, hopefully by next year.
Here's a shot of some lanterns i took recently. Feel free to comment and critique.
Cheers!

how fun is this shot!!....i like the way that you compose....and i think that you did the exposure some real justice.....

my only critique would be to add some negative space to the right of the frame.....

again....i truly like this shot....

And perhaps boost the contrast so you wouldnt see the wood frame behind the lanterns. Well dont tho. I love the unique perspective

Hi and welcome to the group. I was very impressed with how far the depth of field has carried the sharpness in these lanterns. Nice composition and tonal range. Don't be put off by the all the dSLR users as it is he photographer who makes the picture what it really is. The camera is just a tool in the photographer's hands. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

i like how you composed this shot. a little contract adjustment on the lanterns would be good.

I would actually like to see less depth of field, but this is a great shot. Nice perspective! I think all of the other "SLR Giants" would agree that you can take great pictures with anything...having an SLR doesn't help much.
