Smile Playing around with RAW and slow shutter speed...msg

on my old Canon G5. I was going to trash this months ago, but the more I see it, the more it grows on me. It was an accident, but just putting it out there as to how the effect looks should I try it again. The subject is a friend of mine baiting her dog ringside at a show.

stonecoast,

Try everything, then try it a different way. This could be eerie in the right situation, or irritating in another. Here it stopped me a moment, but I'm easily amused. I'm thinking if your subject is routine, this technique could give interest. You can do even better than this: holding on to this one might keep you from making a new one. Unless you really like the dog . . .

Shooting RAW certainly gives you a lot of latitude after the shot and slow shutter creates interesting images. I've used it to create a sense of motion. Continue to play around with the technique, you might just find a good application for it.
