Default Photographer caught lurking in the shadows

When I was experimenting with "painting with light" using a small penlight LED flashlight, I observed the shadows being cast on the background. In this shot, instead of trying to illuminate both figures, I just used the shadow of the Hummel photographer.

DSC_0035_cr

ISO 800, 1/2 second, f/8, Aperture priority, 18-55mm Nikon kits lens at 40mm focal length. D80.

i love how you're all about "painting with light" these last few threads.....i have limited resources and most of my work is with available lighting....in whatever form it presents itself in.....

the shadowing is construed and wonderful......

thank you for sharing.....

My thanks to everyone for their kind words. Hopefully I encouraged a few of the viewers to give this technique a try.
