I'm sorry I did'nt set up the shot for you. I put the speed light under the end table pointing straight up and this is the result. I shot it in the dark with a rear sink flash.

The lighting is very cold. For the objects you are shooting, I would definitely try to warm it up. Can you play with WB in post-processing? It is also very soft- no sharp focus anywhere which left my eyes wandering around trying to find a resting spot, and resting instead on the stark table underneath.

If you could get the tip of that lamp on the right (hide the cord) and sharpen the focus somewhere, it would be a neat shot. I like the cold lighting...gives it an erie feeling. Not sure whether I feel like I'm somewhere safe or somewhere long forgotten.

I think this is a cool effect. More of the lamp, and maybe clone out the cord, or re-shoot and position the cord behind the lamp.
