Default Grave Creek Bridge

Local Josephine County Trivia. Our county was named for a young girl who was the first white person to die in the area and the creek for the event.
We still have a few covered bridges in the area.

I think the composition is nicely done it looks slightly over exposed perhaps a 1/3 step down could bring some detail back in the whites. I think this image would work really great as just a black and white image or just a full color image. The blue on the bridge distracts from the image as does the color under the bridge.

I tink reverse the color and B&W information and just the opening. Then title it a bridge back in time....
Maybe even take the B&W protion and grain it up a bit or even Sepia tone for the other side of the bridge.
I think its a nice photo but the post processing is a bit odd to me. Maybe play around with it a bit more.

I like the concept you have for this shot. Covered bridges always make great subjects. If I were to by picky I'd say that the pole on the other side of the bridge is distracting.

I personally like the color on the ohter side of the bridge. It draws my eye very well, but I feel as if there should be a point of interest that it leads me to. My eye is drawn, I seach, and there is nothing there. Perhaps a person...maybe if could be a girl representing Josephine? What if she were in black and white on that side of the bridge with her surroundings in color? Just my opinions though, so take them as you will. I do like the shot though.

Good point...the other side being B&W might just get lost.....
Hmm......not sure what I think now....

I'm not sure what to make of this one to be honest! I like the shot but something doesn't quite sit right. I agree with Murtasma that the blue on and under the bridge is distracting and it may just be this but I also can't quite gel with the colour behind the bridge either. I'd have a play with the original and try some alternative processing - the composition of the shot is great I'm just not sure about the final result.

I was trying to say that perhaps if you were ever to shoot this bridge again, do it the same as far as composition goes and post processing, but add a point of interest on the other side of the bridge. This could be "Josephine" and make her in black and white on the other side of the bridge. I wonder what it would look like if you had it all in color except for her and make it appear ghostlike in post?

Thanks for all the comments. I've been playing around with this image all day. I think I'll go out some foggy morning with the mist rising from the creek or something like that. I did remember that Halloween is coming up and being Grave Creek I came up with this to humor my grandkids.
