Post First Post - Waterfall

Hi, this is my first post. I'm very new to the SLR world and am attempting to self-learn about photography. Here is a shot I took off the side of the road. What do you think? How could I improve?? Thank you!! - Julianne

My camera settings were: ISO 100, Shutter 1/4, f11 @ 55mm

Love the smooth water effect. I tried to capture this effect few times with my point-and-shoot camera, but I couldn't trick the camera to leave the shutter open longer and close down the aperture to compensate.

I like it. i would have changed the composition a little bit to increase the amount of water at the bottom of the photo- so it is not just running into a brick wall (the end of the picture) and the waterfall is too centered. Could you have changed angles at all? nicely done- keep 'em coming!
