Default Spinning Neon Green Top [DRI]

Neon Top

Here is a picture that used the DRI technique. Kind of like an hdr image but you do it manually by hand by layer your exposers on on top of the other and masking off areas.

This image took a long time to make about 8 hours. The trash can at the left is distracting but I'm not good enough at cloneing to remove that. I also had no choice but taking the picture where I did on a little bench with a small tripod.

I like it because it doesn't look like an HDR picture...that sort of fantasy look, but you've still kept a lot of detail in there. I can see how this would take a while to do.

I like it...the can could go but really doesnt draw my eye all that much. Even the other stuff in the picture fades out once focused on the green top. I wish I had the patience for that...I have spent maybe 6 hours tops on a project....it KILLED ME!
The worst is spending alot of time and then realizing it just isn't going to work!
Have you tried any crops to see if it could look any better?

I tried a few diffrent crops but this the original came out best it looked ackward cutting off the bottom and the top and cutting off the sides didn't work. The fountians kind of balance the image with out one of htem something seems off.

I try really hard now to check all the edges of my frame before I press the shutter now. I find myself cropping very little now.

After looking at it again it is a nicely balanced shot....mind if I try getting rid of that can?

it was at Navy Pier in Chicago. That is a hard clone job there isn't much material in that image that clones over nicely to that area that's why I didn't attempt it.
