Default 1st picture on Olympus E410

Hi there. I'm new to these forums. Any Comments would be nice. Decided to take shot of child off thread, think I took this with N95. Anyway finally figured out how to get exif data onto flickr (needed to save pics as jpegs as opposed to tiffs, exif data is wiped otherwise).Thanks guys for taking an interest , all advice is good. Hi and welcome to the group. I'll be happy to help you in any way I can. I was unable to find any EXIF data for either image. If you could post that with the photo it would help me to give you a more meaningful critique. Please tell me alittle more about how you shot the first photo of the child. It appears to be a bit "grainy". Is that the effect you were striving for?
Why did you use Aperture priority on the shot of the park bench? Typically one uses aperture priority to gain some advantage such as a faster or slower shutter speed. Or to control depth of field such that he background may be thrown out of focus. I am afraid I don't see what you gained here by shooting in that mode.

I agree some EXIF would be handy - is your Flickr account set up to hide this data? What were the conditions of the 1st shot. It does seem grainy and the top right is blown out - was there a bright light indoors? It is a nicely framed shot and the B&W works well. More info would be really useful though
