Well first let me say I wish I got to look at stuff like this on my way to work. Second I like the shot, thru the leaves look if only the one twig in front of the barn were'nt there. Mabybe crop it a little off the left and clone out the twig. Nice work and it must make the trip to work plesant with scenery like that.

I agree with Todd. You did a good job framing the barn with leaves, but the one rogue twig does distract. Also, a little crop from the left and bottom to lessen the amount of leaves in the foreground and focus more attention on your subject and you're good. Great golden lighting here that makes a run down barn (chicken house?) look inviting.

Yes, views like you mentioned do make for nice trips to work.
I actually live only 6 minutes away from the office. That is 6 minutes only if I time all the lights and the stop sign perfectly. ![]() The little side-trips as mentioned above nearly double my commute time if you can believe that. But, sometime, you gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks for the C/C, and of course on closer inspection agree with all counts. ![]() ![]() I took a stab at your suggestion(s). caveat: i limited myself to 10 minutes as a test on top of your challenge. ![]() Again, thanks Michael |

The second version looks much better. I am still a little concerned with the mass of out-of-focus leaves in the foreground you used to frame the barn. Their tone is almost the same as the rest of the image which takes away from their "framing" value. Was there any way one could have shaded them to bring down their brightness a little more? Good eye for composition on this one!
