Exclamation Isn't him handsome?

Isn't him handsome?

This is my son. He usually doesn't stay steady for a shot. But this morning, while he was getting prepared for his nursery school, i could quickly take this picture.
i couldn't get a better free background, because he is very active.
It seems to me that somehow something need to be done (next occasion or on this very picture); but what?

I think the shot is cute and can be enhanced if you have Photoshop. Use the extraction tool to remove him and place him on a different background. Onboard flash with slow shutter speed to pick up ambient light?

Was the external flash bounced off the ceiling? Where was it positioned? Are you using a diffusion dome as I was keying on the single catchlight in the eyes?

For future shots to get rid of messy backgrounds, you can try blurring the background by using a larger aperture

Hi , JazzaGirl!
Thx for your appreciations.

Hi, DJNassy!
What you are saying is true and next time, I will try to set my camera ready with this settings and wait for a bit of steadiness from my kid. Every time he sees me with the camera, he runs off.
