At my sisters wedding recently, she had brought in a photographer to take pictures. For two hours before the wedding, they were taking pictures. I was also taking pictures, and caught this one of my son and my nephew. I cropped it from the original. But wanted to get input on what everyone thought here. I can't seem to get the color right. Well at least I don't think so.

You have captured nice pose of these two kids. One is looking into the camera and happy while the other is lost in his world...

White objects are little hard to expose.. The white cloths here are overexposed.. IMO you can go for further close up/crop.

Great capture! Probably the best one of the whole two hour pre-wedding photo session, including the pro's shots. 8-) I like the inclusion of the bride's dress as well as the grooms pants. It wouldn't be quite the same if the background were different.

Thanks for the comments. It was a really long session, and the kids were hot in the dress clothes. The pro that she hired she paided over 2000 dollars for and a lot of the pictures were not that good.

I do have a question as to how I could fix the white in post production? I am just learning the post production part, and would like to make this picture better.

I'll have to defer to the Photoshop experts in the group as I have found it difficult to bring detail into a portion of a highlight that has been overexposed.

jordana,

Very good photo; could be toned down with a layer of negative original. This creates an "evening out" of intense white. Also just a little more detail and catchlight will improve liveliness on eyes of boy on right. A touch of Saturation seemed to bring a good color back.
