Default Starfish

Shot at the Sydney Aquarium.

My main problem with this photo is optical distortion from shooting through the aquarium glass.

Any comments are most welcome.

There will be some more aquarium photos to critique from me, so thanks for your time!!!!

The rim back light adds some dimension to the shot. Nice blue color. Not bad for having to shoot through heavy glass.

A stunning close up. I think this is very good shot through what is very thick glass. I'd like to see different lighting though, perhaps as it's an aquarium, you'd have the luxury of playing with different light settings and angles? Just a thought. I do like this shot.

Slightly off topic but blue Star fish are very common here in Oz, particularly up around the great barrier reef. They get big too!

Just a question...what settings would you use to photograph through aquarium glass? Im fairly new to photography and this forum so forgive me if this is covered elsewhere. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

cheers
