I like it, but I'd really like to be able to see the front of one of the coins in focus. So maybe change the way the coins are set up so that you get one of the fronts (or backs, whichever is more interesting to you) in your main focus area.

The shot seems to be focused at the centre, is there any way for you to change where your camera focuses is so that it focuses more to the right? (I don't know what kind of camera you're using, so I don't know if you can change the focus area).

Otherwise, I like the general setup, I just think that a few little changes could really make it pop

Good start, and welcome to the forums. You're really brave to make your first post here in the Critique area

Thumbs up

This is good. To be better, as above, change the arrangement of the coins so a clearer focus will be on the front group, creating DOF blur on the others.

Ditto and ditto. And based solely on what I've done with my limited camera settings (we need more info!) I wonder if you could back up just a little, get really good focus, snap and then crop in post to this aspect. If you have the pixels, it will look like any good Macro should: sharp. Shoot more, learn more.

Default Thanks for all the feedback

Thank you for your feedback, I am taking it on board and hope to post a better pic shortly. I was using a Canon 30d with a 50mm lens at f1.8. I enhanced the colours in rawshooter by adjusting the contrast in the histogram. Other than that the image is as I took it.
