Wow, I love the web and the background is wonderful. I'm a little iffy about the leaf on the right though. It draws my eyes to it when I'd rather be looking at the web.

Wow. The web and the one bigger dewdrop are just amazing. I agree that I'd like to see how it looks with the righthand leaf cropped out, but it's great as it is.

I think the effect of the "tube" of webbing is great, producing a memorable photo.

It might look better if the leaf on the right was more in focus (I think cropping it out might lose too much of the tube and thus what appeals to me about the shot). It would depend if a greater depth of field brought too much else into focus. Did you try some alternative versions?

Also, the shot is a little on the underexposed side. If you bumped it up too far, you would risk losing the subtlety but it might be worth making it a bit brighter.

Thank you all for your replies. Due to the sunlight of the morning and where I set up, I was unable to get any better angles.

I tried to crop the leaf on the right, and added a border:



Overall, I like the first version better. I'll look at a couple of wider view shots I took and post them here as well.
