Default Civil twilight

This shot, on Panama City Beach, is close to civil twilight. Fuji S2 Pro f8 60s
What I tried to bring out in this shot is the water (foreground) pooling.....

Hi Bob and welcome to the group. Beautiful sky color and capture of the water pooling. Can you share a little of your post processing on this and the equipment you used? I wasn't able to pull up any EXIF data on the shot. I look forward to viewing more of your work here in DPS.

It would help to move the horizon off center. What is a civil sunset?

Default Civil Twilight

I had been shooting that afternoon with a D2X and as sunset approached changed to my Fuji S2 Pro. The photo was shot in manual with a 35-105mm AF lens, f/8, 1/60. Post processed with CS3.

Renamed to Civil Twilight.....meaning the sun is approx 6 degrees below the horizon.

Thanks, Bob, for providing the additional info. I don't think I had ever heard the term "civil twilight" before. You learn something new every day. 8-)

Sailors and astronomers have different reasons to define the degree of orientation of the Sun to the horizon. See Wikipedia for more.
